September 14-18, 2025

The 18th European Congress and Exhibition on Advanced Materials and Processes took place in Granada, Spain. This prestigious event, organized by the Federation of European Materials Societies (FEMS), gathered researchers and innovators from across Europe and beyond to discuss the latest advancements in advanced materials and their applications.

Within this international stage, the TENTACLE Project was featured with two significant contributions from the Politecnico di Torino.

Professor Chiara Vitale Brovarone delivered an oral presentation titled “Novel biomaterial ink formulations and approaches for in situ bioprinting and regeneration of colorectal mucosa and submucosa”. Her intervention introduced the goals of TENTACLE and explored how novel biomaterial inks can enable regenerative therapies for colorectal diseases through minimally invasive, in situ bioprinting approaches.

Alongside this, Dr. Jacopo Barberi presented a poster contribution entitled “Spray-dryed polymeric carriers for in-situ mucosal and submucosal regeneration in colorectal disease”. His work highlighted innovative strategies to design advanced biomaterial carriers capable of directly supporting tissue regeneration in the colorectal environment.

The presence of TENTACLE at FEMS EUROMAT 2025 marks an important opportunity to showcase the project’s progress to the wider scientific community, while also strengthening collaborations and opening new perspectives in the field of regenerative medicine and biomaterials.
