The TENTACLE Project welcomed clinicians, researchers and innovation experts to the event “Rettocolite Ulcerosa: avanzamenti recenti e scenari futuri”, held at Aula Roccia, Ospedale Molinette (Turin, Italy).

The event was organised in collaboration with MITIC Lab – Minimally Invasive Therapy and Innovation Center, the University of Turin, and the A.O.U. Città della Salute e della Scienza di Torino, which hosted the meeting.

The afternoon offered a valuable opportunity for exchange between clinical practice, research and innovation, with a shared focus on improving the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and, in particular, ulcerative colitis. Throughout the day, speakers explored both current clinical approaches and future perspectives enabled by emerging technologies such as in situ 4D bioprinting, at the core of the TENTACLE project.

The programme opened with an introduction to the vision behind TENTACLE, followed by dedicated talks on the project’s bioengineered approach to mucosal regeneration and the complementary roles of the University of Pisa, Politecnico di Torino and University of Turin. The second part of the event broadened the discussion to precision medicine in IBD and the role of surgery, concluding with a round table that actively involved the patient perspective through the participation of Rocco Zucco, President of the AMICI Piemonte patient association.

The strong engagement from the audience and the multidisciplinary dialogue confirmed the relevance of creating spaces where clinicians, researchers and patients can meet to discuss innovation with real clinical impact.

The TENTACLE consortium warmly thanks MITIC Lab – Minimally Invasive Therapy and Innovation Center, the University of Turin, and A.O.U. Città della Salute e della Scienza di Torino for hosting the event, as well as all speakers and participants for their valuable contributions.
